Shower waste pumps & drain pumps
The lifting unit for showers (shower waste water pump) is always used when the necessary gradient to drain the service water is missing.
Waste water pumps as a lifting system for the shower
The installation of a level-access shower is often part of a bathroom renovation. This is not only modern, but also barrier-free. However, especially in old buildings or in basements and cellars, there is often a lack of the necessary free fall for such a construction project, meaning that a lifting system must be used for the water.
Small lifting unit from Plancofix
If the floor is too low, the water cannot drain away by itself - the bathroom would fill up. Plancofix pumps for showers put an end to this problem. The waste water pump automatically and barely audibly pumps the used water into the designated waste water pipe.
Plancofix design options:
- Completely tiled
- Completely or partially as a stainless steel drain
- with drainage channel
Low-maintenance and easy-to-clean lifting unit for the shower
The pump system for the shower can be cleaned from above just like a conventional drain. The two stainless steel components can be removed at any time, making it very easy to remove deposits from the housing. A quick shower with the shower head and/or wiping with a sponge is often sufficient.
The hydraulics can be taken apart without tools and cleaned individually. It is only important that the shower pump is temporarily de-energised.
Cleaning the pump in 5 steps
- Remove the cover
- Remove deposits from stainless steel plates and housing
- Pump out excess water
- De-energise the pump
- Clean the float switch and hydraulic components individually
