Wet room shower tray with linear drain

This tileable floor element from Saxoboard® is a substructure element for installing level-access showers. The shower board is made of expanded polystyrene (EPS) or optionally XPS - a rigid foam - and is suitable for flush installation in the screed, but also for installation directly on the floor.

This installation method in combination with the use of high-quality materials not only creates an exceptional shower experience, but also makes it possible to use the level-access shower with a wheelchair. The surface of the shower board with channel is either our sealing fleece or a mineral coating for an even higher point load. Our shower elements with channel are tested and approved by the building authorities.

Our shower channel installed in the shower board is made entirely of full stainless steel and is height-adjustable from 1 mm to 20 mm. A stainless steel channel base is installed in the shower element at the factory. This represents the 2nd drainage level, where the water can continue to run into the siphon even if the board is damaged.

Drain position within the channel

The standard drain position is in the centre of the channel. With the optional selection "off-centre in channel", the drain hole and therefore the drain position within the channel can be freely selected. This means that any pipes, beams or other obstacles under the shower element can be avoided during installation.<br/>After placing your order, please send a sketch (e-mail, fax) specifying the desired position. The delivery time will be extended by approx. 5 working days.

Drain design

In order to meet your desire for a customised shower solution for this shower board with channel, we offer you a choice of five different designer gratings. Whether you opt for the standard design or the triangular perforation, rectangular perforation and round perforation designs, you can add a personal touch with your choice. For a particularly unobtrusive drainage solution, choose a tileable channel variant (at an extra charge). The position of the channel can be freely determined for all design variants.

100% impermeability at the edge

With this option, we leave a 7 cm overhang around the edge of the shower element with the sealing fleece applied. This overhang is simply glued up the wall and over the neighbouring floor. This allows you to achieve 100% impermeability in the edge area, because the shower element acts like a closed tray!

Freedom when installing the shower and the drain position

We supply the flush-to-floor Saxoboard® shower element with channel with drain, odour trap and a stainless steel grate to cover the drainage system. The drain can be installed vertically or horizontally. The horizontal drain can be set to any drainage direction at the installation location. The total installation height varies between 40 mm with a vertical outlet and 125 mm when installing a horizontal outlet.

SaxoPET Eco

You have a choice of three different substrate materials. All are highly pressure-resistant. SaxoPET Eco is the world's first sustainable substrate material for showers that is made from 100% recycled PET and is also highly pressure-resistant (pressure resistance 110 tonnes/m²).

Fully integrated electric or hot water underfloor heating (optional)

No more standing with your feet on a cold shower floor in the morning. That's the promise of our elements with fully integrated electric underfloor heating, which can be installed at the factory on request. Only the connection cables then protrude from the shower element, which only need to be connected to the existing power supply. If you would like hot water heating for our shower elements, please send us your existing underfloor heating pipe. We will then integrate this completely into the shower element. The connections for this look out at the points you specify (these are configured above). The heating integrated into the shower element does not increase the installation height/thickness of the shower element.
