Saxoboard® offers substrate elements for a wide range of shower solutions. The Saxoboard® quarter-circle shower element is designed for the installation of level-access showers in corner situations. This board is perfect for bathrooms with limited space.

100% watertightness in the edge area

With this option, we leave a 7 cm overhang around the edge of the shower element with the sealing fleece applied. This overhang is simply glued up the wall and over the neighbouring floor. This allows you to achieve 100% impermeability in the edge area, because the shower element acts like a closed tray!

The surface is optionally available with our sealing fleece (for mosaic and large-format tiles) or with a mineral coating (for high pressure stability and point loading when used with mosaic tiles).

Drainage and installation height

The floor element is made of rigid foam, more precisely expanded polystyrene, and is perfect for flush installation in the screed. Your board is supplied with a drain, odour trap and stainless steel grate. The drain can be installed horizontally or vertically, whereby the horizontal drain can be adjusted in any direction at the installation site. The total installation height is 12.0 cm for horizontal outlets and 4.0 cm for vertical outlets. If the total installation height of 7.8 cm (horizontal drainage) or 3 cm (vertical drainage) is selected, the thickness of the shower element is reduced to 3 cm. The stability remains unaffected by this!

Drain design

The set price includes a stainless steel grating. If you would like a more sophisticated design, you can replace the standard grating with an attractive designer grating made of full stainless steel (at an extra charge). We offer you a choice of two stylish designs.

Accessibility

The Saxoboard® quarter-circle shower element enables the installation of barrier-free, disabled-access showers. The board can easily withstand the weight of a wheelchair and is therefore suitable for wheelchair access.

SaxoPET Eco

You have a choice of three different substrate materials. All are highly pressure-resistant. SaxoPET Eco is the world's first sustainable substrate material for showers that is made from 100% recycled PET and is also highly pressure-resistant (pressure resistance 110 tonnes/m²).

Fully integrated electric or hot water underfloor heating (optional)

On request, you can have a fully integrated electric underfloor heating system already installed in the shower element at the factory. All you need to do is remove the connection cables from the board, which can be easily connected to your existing power supply. The electric underfloor heating comes with a thermostat for easy temperature regulation. If you would like a hot water heating system to go with our shower elements, please send us your existing underfloor heating pipe. We will then integrate this completely into the shower element. The connections for this look out at the points you specify (these are configured above). The heating integrated into the shower element does not increase the installation height/thickness of the shower element.
