Wet room shower tray with square drain
Description
This level-access and tileable shower element is perfect for installation in walk-in showers. Water-impermeable expanded polystyrene (EPS/XPS rigid foam) makes the shower board extremely resistant, even withstanding the weight of wheelchairs.
Your advantages at a glance
- 100% watertight at the factory + ready to install
- Slope already integrated
- incl. drain + stainless steel grating
- Directly from the manufacturer
- Barrier-free installation
The important drainage slope is already integrated into the shower board. This shape enables a barrier-free shower with a high-quality finish and uncompromising design.
Drain and installation height
The flat Saxoboard shower element with point drain benefits from a minimum overall installation height of just 7.8 cm with a horizontal outlet and just 3.0 cm with a vertical outlet. The drain and sealing insert are already pre-assembled. The sealing and decoupling membrane are also integrated ex works.
Total installation depths
The total installation depth is made up of the thickness of the shower element and the height of the drain.
| Total installation depth & drain direction | Shower element thickness | Drain |
| 12.0 cm horizontal | 4.0 cm Shower element | 8.0 cm horizontal (0.72 litres/second with 50 mm sealing water height) |
| 7.8 cm horizontal | 3.0 cm Shower element | 4.8 cm horizontal (0.4 litres/second with 20 mm sealing water height) |
| 4.0 cm vertical | 4.0 cm Shower element | no depth vertical (1.12 litres/second with 50 mm sealing water height. Drain can be sunk directly into the floor) |
| 3.0 cm vertical | 3.0 cm shower element | no depth vertical (1.12 litres/second with 50 mm sealing water height. Drain can be sunk directly into the floor) |
If the total installation height of 7.8 cm (horizontal drainage direction) or 3 cm (vertical drainage direction) is selected, the thickness of the shower element is reduced to 3 cm. The stability remains unaffected by this!
For applications with above-average point loads (e.g. use of a shower chair on mosaic tiles), a mineral coating can also be selected to further increase stability.
Freedom when installing the shower and the drain position
The drain system included with the shower element offers a full range of options for installation and positioning. It can be installed horizontally or vertically. When installed horizontally, the drain can be rotated through 360° and can therefore be routed in any direction. With vertical drainage, the drain is sunk directly into the floor.
The position of the point drain within the shower is free. If you prefer, you can position the point drain not only in the centre, but also at the edge.
An easy-to-clean siphon with removable odour trap is of course included.
The tileable shower board has a drain with a standardised DN50 connection (only for the standard version (4.0 cm / 12.0 cm). For the 3.0 cm and 7.8 cm shower elements, the horizontal drain has a DN40 connection and the vertical connection DN50. The connection can be easily extended for each of our shower elements.
We also offer the shower channel and the wall drain as further drain variants.
Drain design
We supply a stainless steel grate for the point drain with the shower element. If you would like a more extravagant solution, you can choose from other high-quality designer gratings for an additional charge. The grate is infinitely height-adjustable from 0.6 cm to 3.5 cm for different tile thicknesses. The drain design is optionally tileable for tile thicknesses up to 1 cm.

100% impermeability in the edge area
If you want to ensure absolute impermeability, we recommend the "fleece overhang" option (only when choosing with a sealing fleece surface). We leave a 7 cm overhang around the edge of the applied sealing fleece around the shower element. <br/>The overhang is simply glued to the wall and the adjacent floor. This achieves 100 per cent impermeability in the edge area, as the shower element is embedded like a closed shower tray.

- System tested in accordance with DIN 18534-5

SaxoPET Eco
You have a choice of three different backing materials. All are highly pressure-resistant. SaxoPET Eco is the world's first sustainable substrate material for showers that is made from 100% recycled PET and at the same time has maximum compressive strength (compressive strength 110 tonnes/m²).

Fully integrated electric or hot water underfloor heating (optional)
No more standing with your feet on a cold shower floor in the morning. That's the promise of our elements with fully integrated electric underfloor heating, which can be installed at the factory on request. Only the connection cables then protrude from the shower element, which only need to be connected to the existing power supply. If you would like hot water heating for our shower elements, please send us your existing underfloor heating pipe. We will then integrate this completely into the shower element. The connections for this look out at the points you specify (these are configured above). The heating integrated into the shower element does not increase the installation height/thickness of the shower element.
You will receive a thermostat for convenient regulation of the floor temperature with the electric floor heating.
