Drain and installation height
The waterproof shower base element is made of expanded polystyrene. This rigid foam can be tiled over without any problems. The sealing and decoupling membrane is already applied in the Saxoboard® factory. A gradient of 2.5% is incorporated into each Saxoboard® shower element to ensure perfect drainage. The total installation height of this board is 4.0 cm for vertical drainage or 12.0 cm for horizontal drainage. When installing a horizontal drain, you can freely determine the drain direction.
100% tightness at the edge
With this option, we leave a 7 cm overhang around the edge of the shower element with the sealing fleece applied. This overhang is simply glued up the wall and over the neighbouring floor. This allows you to achieve 100% impermeability in the edge area, because the shower element acts like a closed tray!

The surface is optionally available with our sealing fleece (for mosaic and large-format tiles) or with a mineral coating (for higher pressure stability and point load when used with mosaic tiles)
Drain design
The Saxoboard® pentagonal shower element comes with a stainless steel grate as standard. If you would like to give your bathroom a special touch, you can replace the standard grating with an elegant designer grating (at an extra charge). We offer you a choice of two timeless designs.
Accessibility
The Saxoboard® pentagonal shower element is designed for the installation of level-access showers. The design and material used also make it possible to use a wheelchair. Barrier-free showering at the highest level.
SaxoPET Eco
You have a choice of three different substrate materials. All are highly pressure-resistant. SaxoPET Eco is the world's first sustainable substrate material for showers that is made from 100% recycled PET and is also highly pressure-resistant (pressure resistance 110 tonnes/m²).
Fully integrated electric or hot water underfloor heating (optional)
No more standing with your feet on a cold shower floor in the morning. That's the promise of our elements with fully integrated electric underfloor heating, which can be installed at the factory on request. Only the connection cables then protrude from the shower element, which only need to be connected to the existing power supply. If you would like hot water heating for our shower elements, please send us your existing underfloor heating pipe. We will then integrate this completely into the shower element. The connections for this look out at the points you specify (these are configured above). The heating integrated into the shower element does not increase the installation height/thickness of the shower element.
